Employment: Full Time
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
Through the production of compliant and responsive proposals and positioning materials, the senior marketing specialist will promote top-line growth and brand reputation. This position will also allow for the creation of impactful technical content in accordance with Stantec's brand and messaging guidelines, as well as promotional efforts to assist business growth. This enabling function, which encompasses writing, editing, project management, and components of client management, will be extended, as needed, to all content creation across Stantec's Middle East Marketing and project delivery teams.
• Plan, manage, and deliver complete proposals by applying Stantec's established systems and processes for winning work, including proactive guidance and support to internal business developers and senior management, as well as direct engagement with client procurement teams and other external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with Stantec's governance process and proposal procedures
• Liaise with technical specialists to address technical concerns and conduct research across all of Stantec's business operating units to locate suitable technical experience and credentials to support bids or other deliverables.
• Assist with client account management, particularly with procurement teams and systems to ensure that Stantec is properly registered with major clients.
• Write and edit Stantec Marketing content (copywriting), including employee CVs / SMKC profiles, SMKC project profiles, internal messaging and Lens content, Stantec.com content, awards submissions, conference presentations, and client outreach materials.
• Develop proposals template content/content repository
• Develop training materials and conduct training and mentoring on a variety of technical writing, editing, and document production workflows/automation issues.
• Provide assistance with/develop solutions using products such as Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, and in-Design to improve the efficacy of a variety of business tasks.
• Collaborate with industry leadership to establish and implement promotional initiatives designed to build client connections and foster business expansion
• Mentor and instruct junior team members
• Additional responsibilities as desired by the Marketing & Communications Manager and industry leadership.
Competencies:
• Proposals management (project management for proposals)
• Implementation of style manuals (knowledge of the Chicago Manual of Style is mandatory)
• SharePoint and more collaborative working environments
• Familiarity with drafting plans for Buildings, Transportation, Infrastructure, and Community Development (Built Environment)
Requirement
Specifications and requirements for candidates:
• Bachelor's degree in engineering/architecture or a relevant technical/scientific field pertinent to Stantec's primary business
• Four to five years experience in proposal management, ideally within the A/E/C business
• Additional expertise in technical writing and editing, with a documented portfolio of technical content in high-visibility publications, preferably in the A/E/C business.
• Knowledge of the commercial and contractual aspects of the bid process
• Must have advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word and be extremely adept with the MS Office Suite, as well as a working knowledge of Adobe InDesign
• Capability to handle a big workload, set priorities, and pay great attention to the smallest of details.
• The capacity to work independently, reviewing your work on a regular basis while fulfilling your goals regularly.
• Effective teamwork abilities Daily and persistent dedication to growing team members and collaborating with all levels of management.
• A proactive attitude, good coordination of activities and difficult tasks, and professional accountability in all things.
• Be of the highest calibre: punctual, attentive, and knowledgeable about Stantec's rules, procedures, and work practices.
• A flexible approach to travel and working hours; occasional weekend work, if required.
